KP agriculture minister visits Mohmand, briefed on various schemes

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Agriculture, Major (Retd) Sajjad Barakwal, visited Mohmand district on Thursday.
During his visit to the Agriculture Extension Department’s district office, he received a detailed briefing on various agricultural matters and ongoing initiatives of the department in the district, said a handout.
On this occasion, Director General Agriculture Extension Murad Ali Khan, District Director Agriculture Extension Asif Iqbal and other concerned officers were also present.
During the visit, the Provincial minister inspected agricultural machinery, stores, farm services centers and attendance registers.
On this occasion, he directed the officers of the Agriculture Department to use all their resources for the development of agriculture and wherever problems arise, they should be brought to his notice so that the development process can be accelerated by resolving them in a timely manner. Sajjad Brakwal further directed to maintain contact with the farmers and inform them about modern scientific methods to increase their crop production. Similarly, he stressed on planting gardens and organizing training sessions for farmers.
He strictly directed the district officers of all wings of the agriculture department to hold coordination committee meetings on a monthly basis and ensure participation in them so that the problems of the farmers can be easily resolved at the district level and the agriculture sector can also develop.
