The Peshawar City Traffic Police has initiated an awareness campaign to promote the use of helmets among motorcyclists. Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan, along with other officers, distributed awareness pamphlets and free helmets to citizens at an awareness zone set up on Gulbahar Bridge.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan emphasized the importance of helmet use in reducing traffic accidents and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in the city.
He stated that an awareness drive on helmet use has been launched this week, and a strict crackdown against those riding without helmets will begin next week.
He further highlighted that various measures are being taken to facilitate safe travel for citizens. The ongoing awareness campaign on traffic rules aims to enhance road safety and minimize fatal accidents.
“By ensuring the use of helmets, citizens can make their journeys safer. Driving without a helmet poses a serious risk to precious lives,” he added.
