Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station Mardan region has registered case in connection with the Friday suicide blast in Akora Khattak, sources said. Sources added that the case was filed against the suicide attacker on the complaint of Abdul Haq Sani, the injured son of Hamid-ul- Haq Haqqani.
It may be noted that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) chief Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq along with other five person were martyred while 20 persons got injured after a powerful suicide blast ripped through Akora Khattak’s Darul Uloom Haqqania. On Friday the explosion took place inside the seminary after Friday prayers.
According to the FIR Abdul Haq Sani told CTD police that he along with his father Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq were going back to their home after offering the Juma prayer.
He stated that when they were going out from the door of mosque during that time an unidentified suicide attacker reached their and blew himself up.
As a result his father and five other people died and he and other people got injured.
The CTD police station Mardan region registered a case under section 427, 324, 302, 3/4 Exp and 7ATA and started an investigation.
