In a major move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has dissolved all existing positions of Regional Presidents and General Secretaries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with immediate effect. According to a notification issued by Ali Asghar Khan, General Secretary PTI KP chapter, the decision, made on the instructions of the party’s Founder Chairman Imran Khan, aims to streamline the party structure and ensure that individuals holding government responsibilities do not simultaneously occupy party positions.
According to the provincial General Secretary’s statement, fresh appointments for these key positions will be announced in due course. The statement stated that the move was part of a broader strategy to enhance organizational effectiveness and maintain a clear distinction between government and party roles. PTI leadership believes this step will lead to more focused governance and stronger party management, ensuring better coordination in the province.
