In line with the directives of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Secretary Housing Mahmood Aslam and Director General Housing Authority Imran Wazir organized an open court at the Jalozai Housing Scheme site. A large number of landowners and allottees participated, raising concerns regarding various issues.
During the session, complaints regarding delayed payments to landowners were brought forward. In response, the Secretary Housing directed the immediate resolution of payment issues. Additionally, he ordered the simplification and acceleration of the process for acquiring possession of residential plots.
The Secretary also reviewed the availability of basic amenities, ongoing residential projects, and drainage systems within the scheme. Concerns were raised over the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) recent increase in tax rates on property transactions, with the provincial government expressing reservations on the matter.
After listening to public grievances, Secretary Housing issued on-the-spot directives to relevant officials, ensuring swift action. He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to public welfare and pledged timely resolution of issues faced by the people.
The initiative was widely appreciated by the local community, who expressed hope for practical solutions to their longstanding problems.
