The Khyber Union of Journalists has congratulated senior journalist Arshad Aziz Malik, former president of the Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) and Peshawar Press Club, on being awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan in recognition of his outstanding contributions to journalism. In a statement, Khuj President Kashifuddin Syed and General Secretary Irshad Ali, along with other office-bearers, lauded Malik’s dedication and integrity in the field of journalism. They described the award as a source of pride for the journalist community in Peshawar and an inspiration for media professionals.
Malik was honored for his investigative reporting, which exposed irregularities, misuse of authority, and corruption in development projects across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His fearless journalism and unwavering commitment to the profession have earned him repeated leadership roles in various journalist bodies.
The Union expressed confidence that Malik will continue to uphold journalistic values and work for the welfare of journalists, further strengthening the profession with his dedication and integrity.
