On the special directives of the Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Health, Ihtisham Ali, another consignment of medicines weighing 4,000 kilograms was delivered to DHQ Hospital Parachinar via the provincial air ambulance ahead of Eid.
Through two flights, more than 100 passengers along with essential medicines were also transported from Peshawar to Parachinar and vice versa.
In his statement, Ihtisham Ali emphasized that timely steps were taken to ensure the availability of essential medicines before Eid.
He further stated that not only were emergency medicines dispatched to Parachinar, but patients and other passengers were also transported to enable them to celebrate Eid with their families.
He added that the provincial government is fully aware of the situation in Kurram, and the Health Department is working on an emergency basis to ensure the provision of healthcare services.
He highlighted that considering the expected surge in demand for medicines during Eid, the government took prompt action to deliver emergency medical supplies.
Additionally, individuals awaiting treatment in Peshawar and those traveling to Parachinar were also transported through the provincial air ambulance.
The Health Advisor reiterated that public health and welfare remain the top priority of the provincial government, and the Health Department is fully prepared to handle any emergency situation.
