Ice smuggling bid foiled, 10.15kg of narcotics seized

In a successful operation by the Excise Police Station Peshawar, 10,150 grams of high-quality ice were seized from the bag of a bus conductor traveling on Kohat Road.
The narcotic substance, hidden in empty milk packets, was discovered during a targeted operation based on confidential intelligence.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Masoodul Haq, Excise and Taxation Officer (Counter Narcotics Operations), and Akif Nawaz Khan, Circle Officer Peshawar.
The operation was led by Faisal Khan, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Excise Police Station, and Syed Sher Shah, Inspector.
The arrested person has been identified as Syed Nabi, son of Fazal Ghani, a resident of Shah Kass area who was attempting to smuggle the narcotic in a passenger vehicle.
According to the authorities, the suspect had been under surveillance after receiving a tip-off from reliable sources about his involvement in smuggling narcotics. The timely intervention of the Excise Police thwarted the smuggling attempt, preventing the drugs from reaching the market.
The accused has been arrested, and a case has been registered at the Excise Police Station Peshawar.
Officials said that investigations were currently underway to gather further details and pursue legal action against the individual involved in the drug smuggling operation.
