The Military Lands & Cantonment Department, Cantonment Board Peshawar proudly secured the overall 1st position at the 16th Annual Rose & Spring Festival 2025, a vibrant and colorful celebration of nature, community engagement, and environmental awareness at Peshawar Cantt.
The event, organized and hosted by the Military Lands & Cantonment Department – Cantonment Board Peshawar and Sta Hqs Peshawar in April 2025, drew an overwhelming response from the general public and dignitaries alike.
The festival showcased over 200 varieties and species of flowers presented by more than 75 departments and institutions, including civil and military organizations. Eye-catching displays, creative arrangements, and impressive horticultural efforts reflected the passion and dedication of all participants.
The President Cantonment Board Peshawar, Brigadier Umer Saeed played a pivotal role in overseeing and supporting the successful execution of the event. His guidance and vision were instrumental in elevating the scale and impact of the festival, making it a signature event for the region.
The Chief Guest of the show, Commander 11 Corps graced the occasion with his presence and appreciated the efforts of the organizers, participants, and the community. He commended the Cantonment Board Peshawar for its commitment to promoting a green and environmentally conscious culture through such initiatives.
A special message was shared by Cantt Executive Officer Cantonment Board Peshawar, Ch Baber Hussain who expressed his pride in the team’s hard work and the event’s success.
“This festival reflects our dedication not just to beautification, but to creating a sustainable and vibrant environment for future generations. The community’s enthusiastic participation is a testament to the shared values we hold,” he stated.
In addition to the flower exhibitions, the event featured a Cut Flower Competition and a Sketch Competition for ladies and schoolchildren encouraging creativity and community participation.
Winners were honored with cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding contributions. The Senior Horticulturist CBP Mr. Meher Gul Wazir highlighted the environmental significance of such festivals, emphasizing their role in spreading awareness about green spaces and ecological responsibility.
The Cantonment Board Peshawar expresses its sincere appreciation to all guests, participants, and visitors who made this event a resounding success. The Board looks forward to continuing its mission of promoting green, clean, and community-centered initiatives in the future.
