CM aide on tourism opens development projects in Galyat

Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Culture, Tourism, Archaeology and Museums, Zahid chanzeb has stated that tourism development in a scenic region like Galyat is not just about improving one sector but also a means of promoting employment for the local population, environmental protection, and the revival of cultural heritage. He added that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not only improving infrastructure but is also taking concrete steps to provide a safe, sustainable, and pleasant environment for tourists.He expressed these views during a detailed visit to the Galyat region.
On the occasion, the Director General of Galyat Development Authority (GDA), Shehryar Ali, Director Technical Engineer Arsalan Shoukat, Assistant Director GDA, and other senior officials accompanied him.
During the visit, Zahid Chanzeb inaugurated several important development projects aimed at modernizing tourism facilities and promoting environmental conservation in the Galyat region.
These projects included the procurement and renovation of modern machinery under the GDA, which will enhance the effectiveness of emergency response during snowfall and other natural challenges.
He inaugurated the renovation and restoration of Donga Gali Park, offering tourists a pleasant and peaceful recreational spot. Khanaspur Park was also modernized, playing a key role in promoting eco-friendly tourism. The complete restoration of Changla Gali Park was also inaugurated, increasing its appeal for both local and international tourists.
Another significant development was the establishment of a Civil Testing Laboratory, which will assist in ensuring and improving the quality of development projects.
The advisor also inspected the GDA Control Room in Nathia Gali and appreciated the staff’s efforts in guiding tourists and responding promptly in emergency situations.
Zahid Chanzeb reiterated that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is taking practical steps to promote tourism and make effective use of local resources so that not only are tourists provided with top-notch facilities, but the local economy is also strengthened.
