A high-level meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Science and Information Technology Department was held under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and IT, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, to review the progress of ongoing and proposed development projects under the Annual Development Program (ADP) 2024–25 and 2025–26.
According to an official statement, the officials of the department briefed the meeting on project-wise funding allocations, expenditures, releases, and challenges, with a focus on major initiatives including, the Digital Connectivity Program in the merged districts, digital Economy and Skills Centers, establishment of Joint Facility Centers in Mardan and other areas of the province.
The KP IT Board also presented a comprehensive update on the Digital Transformation Program being implemented across the province.
Special Assistant Dr. Shafqat Ayaz stressed the importance of expediting all development initiatives in line with the provincial government’s vision of a “Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”
He instructed officials to ensure full transparency and timely completion of all projects so that citizens can begin to see tangible benefits.
“These projects are not just about infrastructure—they are about empowering the people of KP through access to digital tools, skills, and opportunities,” he added.
