Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, has strongly criticized the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), questioning the legality of his continued tenure and calling for his immediate removal.
According to an official statement, Dr. Saif said the “fake federal government” has imposed an oppressive regime driven by its animosity towards PTI founder Imran Khan.
He alleged that the CEC played a central role in what he described as “the worst election fraud in the country’s history,” accusing him of facilitating the manipulation of election results through Form 47.
Dr. Saif questioned the legal and constitutional authority under which the CEC continues to hold office, drawing a sharp comparison by suggesting that if the Sharif family values his services so highly, they should “hire him as a personal employee instead of paying him from public tax money.”
He further stated that the extension of the CEC’s tenure and the alleged misuse of public funds for political gain represent a betrayal of the Constitution and the public mandate. “This is not just administrative misconduct, it is an open rebellion against the rule of law,” he added.
The Chief Election Commissioner will have to answer for the “theft of the nation’s mandate” and the damage done to the country’s democratic image on the international stage, he stated.
