Rs5 crore funds to LBA

Petition has been filed in Election Commission (EC) for disqualification of Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur on the decision for providing Rs 5 crore funds to Lahore Bar Association.
This constitutional petition has been filed by lawyer Arsalan Afridi advocate belonging to Peshawar.
As per petitioner Ali Amin Gandapur decided to release funds of Rs 5 crore to a private institution of Punjab Lahore Bar Association with the approval of provincial cabinet of KP which is blatant violation of law, constitution and courts decisions.
The petitioner has taken plea in the petition providing funds to bar association of other province falls in the ambit of corruption and is a bid to take political advantage.
Terming this process breach of trust the petitioner said people of KP are already facing grave financial difficulties. Using provincial exchequer in some other province on political basis is illegal and unconstitutional in this situation.
The petitioner raised this point too provincial resources can be used for the welfare of the people of respective province as per NFC award and constitution.
Except emergency situation or natural calamity, the funds given to Lahore Bar is in conflict with all these requirements.
It has been demanded in the petition CM KP Ali Amin Gandapur be declared disqualified immediately on these steps. He be de-notified from the seat of provincial assembly and action be imitated against him as per law and constitution.
Citing to past decisions of Supreme Court , the plea has been taken in the petition that illegal use of funds by elected representatives of people not only can cause their disqualification but it is also serious blow to the trust of people and system of state.
