KP-RIISP organizes workshop of the district admin and line department representatives of the merged districts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project (KP-RIISP) organized a one-day consultative workshop for the representatives of the partner line departments and district administrations from the Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders and implementing partners to discuss the project’s progress, implementation challenges, role of administration and plans to strengthen coordination.
The workshop aimed to foster collaboration and coordination among KP-RIISP, Partner Line Departments, and District Administrations from all the Merged Districts, ensuring that the project’s objectives are aligned with the needs and priorities of the local communities.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Senior Member Board of Revenue Javed Marwat in his concluding remarks emphasized the significance of the project in promoting rural development, fostering local governance and improving service delivery for the people in the merged districts.
The participants included Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners from all the Merged Districts, Project Directors of all the Project Implementing Units as well as the Core Team of the Project Coordination & Management Unit.
The workshop featured presentations by each Project Director on their respective components, highlighting the project’s progress in respective areas. The sessions focused on the Importance of Security Management Plan (SMP), Environment and Social Guidelines, and Project Criteria for Land Acquisition.
These discussions emphasized the project’s commitment to ensuring that all activities are implemented in a manner that is environmentally sustainable, socially responsible, and secure.
Another key highlight of the workshop was the interactive session with the Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners, where participants discussed challenges, opportunities, and strategies for effective project implementation.
The discussions underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration and coordination among all the involved partners in achieving the project’s development objectives.
