Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub Khan has strongly condemned virtual martial law imposed in parliament house .
He said “ I opened budget debate from my budget speech. Speaker promised for live coverage but he did not fulfill it. WiFi of NA , offices and press gallery was shut during my speech. Media was stopped from making coverage. It was also stopped from taking notes on mobile phone.
Government knows it that budget is anti people. Opposition declared budget fake.
He said government is using such ugly tactics to suppress voice of opposition. This budget will scale up inflation and unemployment and scale down purchasing power. GDP growth target is based on falsehood. It will soon be curtailed.
I made mention of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, Shah Mehmood and all political prisoners in my speech. Our workers were martyred by this government. I made mention of names of martyrs of May 9 and November 26 in NA. Transmission remained shut during my speech again after Jumma Prayers.
Martial law is imposed in Pakistan practically and no institution is working, he remarked.
