LHC orders to withdraw vehicles from grade 20 and grade-21 officers

Chief Justice (CJ) of Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Aalia Neelum through historical decision of making remarkable reduction in official expenses for first time in LHC 150 years history has set new precedent of fiscal discipline within judicial system.
Under this decision official vehicles will be withdrawn from officers of grade-20 and grade-21 and fix allowance will be given to them monthly for petrol and maintenance.
Monetization policy has been issued in this respect with the approval of chief justice Aalia Neelum.
According to policy Rs 65960 will be given monthly to grade-20 officers and Rs 77430 to grade-21 officer for petrol and maintenance of vehicles .
The decision in connection with allowance for grade 19 officers will be made in consultation with finance division.
Sources said this step will save million of rupees monthly which were being spent earlier under the head of maintenance and petrol.
The policy for giving motorcycle and 50 liter petrol per month to Naib Qasid after five years service is likely to be revised .
Lawyers fraternity has appreciated this step by chief justice of LHC.
