PESHAWAR
In an alleged suicide case of a nurse at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu district, the local court has ordered the exhumation of the body and a fresh post-mortem to determine the actual cause of death.
According to court officials on Tuesday, the exhumation of the deceased nurse’s body will take place at 12:00 PM on June 26.
The court has also directed that an experienced lady health officer from the Women & Children Hospital be appointed to conduct the new post-mortem to ensure complete transparency and professional accuracy in the investigation.
Advocate Saifullah, representing the complainant, stated that a fresh medical examination has become essential to uphold justice, as no detailed inquiry had been conducted with the doctor who performed the initial post-mortem.
The court has further instructed the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Bannu to implement strict security measures during the exhumation process.
