Steps afoot to ensure quality education for labour children, says Shakoor Khan

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Labour, Fazal Shakoor Khan, has said that all possible steps are being taken to promote quality education in the schools run by the Workers Welfare Board (WWB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He added that Working Folks Grammar Schools of WWB will be standardized and transformed into model educational institutions.
The provincial minister expressed these views while chairing a review meeting regarding the E-transfer policy for WWB schools.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Labour Department and Chairman WWB, Captain (Retired) Mian Adil Iqbal and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the provincial minister was given a detailed briefing on the progress made so far on the e-transfer policy.
Various agendas such as student-teacher ratio, staff rationalization and utilization were discussed in detail while several important proposals for ensuring quality education in Working Folks Grammar Schools were also thoroughly debated.
On this occasion, Labour Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan said that the primary aim of introducing the e-transfer policy is to ensure the provision of quality education in WWB educational institutions, along with the adequate availability of teaching staff for students.
He emphasized that all available resources are being utilized to provide quality educational opportunities to the students studying in these institutions, and the day is not far when these schools will also be among the best educational institutions.
The KP labour minister issued directives to the concerned officials to expedite the work on the e-transfer policy so that it may be implemented in WWB schools as soon as possible.
