Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, has said that the incident of Karbala stands as the greatest example of truth, justice, and resistance against tyranny.
In a statement issued here Saturday, Barrister Saif said, “Karbala teaches us that one can sacrifice their life for the truth but should never bow before falsehood.” He emphasized that the tragedy continues to offer timeless lessons in standing firm against oppression, regardless of the era.
Recalling the events of Karbala, he said the people of Kufa recognized that Imam Hussain (A.S.) was on the path of truth, yet they failed to support him out of fear of Yazid’s oppression, a decision they deeply regretted. “It is better to rise against tyranny in time than to live in lifelong regret,” he added.
Barrister Saif stated that Imam Hussain (A.S.), by refusing to yield before injustice, became an eternal symbol of righteousness for all of humanity. “The land of Karbala bears witness that those who walk the path of truth are never alone; God is always with them.”
The path of truth may be difficult, it remains the only path to real success. “Imam Hussain’s (A.S.) stand against Yazid’s tyranny is a testament that those who remain steadfast in the face of oppression can never be defeated. Sacrifices made in the name of truth become a shining chapter in history.”
