PESHAWAR
The process of filing nomination papers for two vacant National Assembly seats reserved for women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, allocated to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), will begin tomorrow (Wednesday).
According to the election schedule issued by Returning Officer and Joint Provincial Election Commissioner KP, Muhammad Farid Afridi, nomination papers can be submitted until July 10 at his office located on Shami Road, opposite Golf Club Gate No. 2, during office hours.
The names of the candidates will be published on July 11, followed by the scrutiny of papers until July 14. Appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers may be filed until July 17, and the Election Tribunal will decide these by July 21.
A revised list of candidates will be released on July 22, while July 23 is the deadline for withdrawal of candidature. The final list of candidates will be issued on July 24.
The PML-N’s priority list for the reserved women’s seats can also be submitted to the Returning Officer by July 10 during office hours.
