PESHAWAR: In line with special directives from the Secretary of the Excise Department and the Director General Excise, operations against drug peddlers, traffickers, and facilitators have been intensified across the province. In a successful operation led by Fakhr Alam Khan, In-charge Inspector, under the supervision of Saud Khan Gandapur, Provincial In-charge of the Bureau of Intelligence and Investigation, a major smuggling attempt was foiled at H. Gol Chowk on the route to Islamabad. During the operation, 15,600 grams of hashish were recovered from a vehicle bearing registration number LE 5812. The accused, identified as Muhammad Bilal Sahil, son of Sarzameen Khan and a resident of Islamabad, was arrested on the spot. A formal case has been registered at the Excise Police Station, Peshawar Region. Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway. Shinwari
