Sindh High Court (SHC) has remarked that neither any officer has right to be appointed on specific post nor any SHO has right to be appointed in a specific police station and it is administrative matter.
SHC rejected the petition filed by former SHO Steel town against his transfer during protest on the charges of violence.
The petition filed by Allan Abbasi former SHO Steel Town police station against his transfer during protest under charges of violence came up for hearing in SHC Friday.
Assistant Advocate General (AAG) took the plea appointments and postings are right of respective authorities.
The court remarked just reasons are must in connection with transfer before time. As per record 2 show cause notices were issued to the petitioner. Departmental proceedings is pending against the petitioner.
The court remarked IG Sindh is sternly directed to appoint highly educated SHO having good repute . Officer having transparent record be appointed . IG Sindh should not ignore the directives of the court.
The court maintained transfer and appointments of police officers is internal administrative matter of department.
No officer has right to be appointed on specific post or in specific police station. The authorities are empowered to make transfers to maintain discipline. The court can interfere only in the event of violation of law.
The court remarked the petitioner could not prove illegal steps in connection with his transfer.
The court while rejecting the petition of police officer against his transfer directed to send copy of the decision to IG Sindh for implementation.
