Corruption case
LAHORE
Anti Corruption Court (ACC) Lahore has approved exemption plea for one day in respect of former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The counsel took the plea that his client is unwell therefore court should grant one day exemption from attendance to him.
The court approved the plea.
The case regarding alleged illegal appointments in Punjab Assembly (PA) against Pervaiz Elahi and others came up for hearing before judge Javed Iqbal Warraich of Anti Corruption court Lahore.
State counsel Tanvir Chaudhry advocate appeared in the court.
The co-accused Ejaz, Zohaib and Haider Shafqat filed their acquittal pleas.
The court while issuing notices to Anti Corruption authorities sought arguments on next hearing.
Like wise court sought arguments from the counsels on acquittal plea of co-accused Mukhtar Ranjha.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case till October 8.
