ISLAMABAD: Senior political leader Nayyar Bukhari has called on government, judicial, and state officials to end unnecessary protocol and reduce transport expenditures in order to save public funds. He emphasized that the savings from cutting down official expenses should be redirected towards the rehabilitation of flood-affected communities. Bukhari further urged the government to halt all ongoing development projects and divert the allocated budgets towards relief and recovery of flood victims. He proposed that the saved funds should be used to provide free seeds and fertilizers to farmers whose crops have been destroyed. He also appealed to industrial groups, housing societies, and both air and land transport sectors to step forward and contribute to relief efforts. DNA
