LAHORE: Hearing of 4 petitions against disqualification of PTI former Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti has been adjourned till September 16. A 3-member full bench of LHC presided over by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum took up for hearing four petitions against the de-seating of Jamshed Dasti Wednesday. Justice Nawaz Makhdoom and Justice Khalid Ishaq too are members of bench. As per media reports the full bench while issuing notice to Attorney General (AG) directed him to appear in person besides giving written arguments. The court expressed resentment over non appearance of AG. Additional Attorney General (AAG) Nasar Ahmad sought time to file reply. The court while issuing notice to speaker National Assembly and counsel for EC sought reply. The court directed the case will be run on day to day basis from next hearing. It is pertinent to mention here the court has suspended election schedule in respect of NA-175 Muzaffargarh. The decision of EC and powers of jurisdiction of the court have been challenged in the petition.
