Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, has paid tribute to the security personnel who embraced martyrdom in various districts of the province.
In his statement, he expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of security forces’ personnel in Waziristan and Lower Dir, stating that the entire nation mourns their loss. He prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved families.
He emphasized that the brave personnel of the security forces are laying down their lives for the protection of the nation, and their sacrifices will not go in vain.
Furthermore, the Advisor urged the Federal Government to demonstrate seriousness in eradicating terrorism and restoring law and order in the country. He stressed the need to engage Afghanistan through dialogue to ensure lasting peace. “Unfortunately, the Federal Government is neither willing to initiate talks with Afghan government itself nor does it allow the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to do so,” he added.
The Advisor reiterated the provincial government’s unwavering support for the families of the martyrs and reaffirmed its commitment to national security and peace.
