Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud on Wednesday directed relevant authorities for timely and transparent completion of all projects and emphasized full utilization of available resources.
While presiding over a high-level meeting to review ongoing development projects across the division, Commissioner Peshawar instructed that daily performance reports be submitted through the Daily Status Report (DSR) system.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners (Finance and Planning), District Monitoring Officers, and Secretaries of the Regional Transport Authority from all five districts Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, and Khyber.
During the meeting, Commissioner Mehsud was briefed in detail on the status of development schemes.
The Commissioner warned that strict action would be taken against those found guilty of corruption, negligence, unnecessary delays, or lack of transparency.
Contractors responsible for substandard work or corrupt practices would be blacklisted, and their cases referred directly to the Anti-Corruption Establishment and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he added.
Additionally, Deputy Commissioners of all five districts were directed to hold meetings within two days to formulate a comprehensive strategy and code of conduct for better oversight and accountability.
It was also decided to impose strict monitoring on passenger terminals, health centers, schools, hospitals, patwar khanas, and other public service delivery institutions.
The district administrations were instructed to eradicate corruption, inefficiency, and bribery in all departments.
