ISLAMABAD (Online): Three member bench of the apex court is going to start hearing today (Monday) the famous land mafia‘s case while the SC has sought reply from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in this regard.
According to details, Malik Bostan resident of Haripur Hazara with his accomplices that included Mehtab Ali Qureshi, Raja Saeed Kashmiri, Ijaz Shah, Adil Shukat, Mubashar, Malik Habib and Malik Nasir looted 550 million of rupees in fraud with people in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The alleged land mafia group had sold land tempering the documents to people.
Affectees that included Haji Irshad, Chaudhry Tariq, Ishtiaq Abass, Saif Ali Khan, Haji Farooq and Abid Hussain had also submitted an application against Bostan gang in NAB.
Later on Director General NAB Peshawar arrested Bostan and recovered Rs105million so far but failed to recover the whole looted money.
Malik Bostan had submitted bail application in the court which was rejected, now the accused has submitted bail application in the Supreme Court.
According to NAB sources Malik Bostan has purchased land with looted money in the country and abraod, details regarding purchased land would be presented in the court, sources added.
