ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Satuday strongly condemned the attack by Khariji terrorists on a police training center, expressing deep sorrow over the martyrdom of seven police personnel who laid down their lives while valiantly defending the facility. Paying glowing tribute to the martyred officers, the Interior Minister said that the police personnel thwarted the terrorists’ nefarious designs by sacrificing their lives in the line of duty. “The police officers gave their lives but did not allow the Khariji terrorists to succeed in their evil mission,” he remarked. Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the security forces for their swift and courageous response, which resulted in the killing of three Khariji terrorists during the operation. “The police displayed exemplary courage and professionalism, sending three terrorists to hell and safeguarding the nation,” he said. Expressing heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, the Minister prayed for the departed souls and for the early recovery of the injured personnel. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continue the fight against terrorism, noting that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terror. DNA
