PESHAWAR: On the instructions of the Secretary Energy and Power Department, the Chief Executive Officer Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) Syed Habibullah Shah met with Director General Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) Shah Fahad in his office. On this occasion, the Director General PDA appreciated PEDO’s ongoing support for sustainable development in KP and requested PEDO’s cooperation in the ongoing initiatives for the beautification of Hayatabad and Regi Model Town, the posh residential areas of Peshawar, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework. Meanwhile, CEO PEDO welcomed the above proposal and reiterated PEDO’s commitment to support community-based and environmentally responsible projects and decided that in the first phase, PEDO will take responsibility for the beautification of the Squares (Chowks) established in Hayatabad and take steps for their renovation and beautification. Habibullah Shah further stated that in the second phase, PEDO and PDA would take steps for the beautification of Peshawar city by continuing green, clean and eco-friendly activities in collaboration.
Furthermore, Chief Executive PEDO Engineer Habibullah Shah highlighted the need to allocate land for the residential colony of PEDO employees in Regi Model Town, a government residential colony established in Peshawar, with the aim of providing better living facilities and motivation for the employees.
The Director General PDA appreciated the vision of CEO PEDO for the future with regard to the welfare of PDA employees and assured his full support. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment to continue cooperation and joint efforts to make Peshawar a green, clean and beautiful city.
