PESHAWAR: Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Peshawar Masood Ahmed Bangash, a distinguished officer of the Pakistan Police Service (PSP) from Kohat district, has earned wide recognition for his honesty, dedication and exemplary performance. Known for his professional competence and people-friendly policing, he has brought pride not only to his department but also to the entire province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Recognizing his outstanding services, the KP Police sought his deputation from the federal government and appointed him District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda. His tenure in Charsadda proved transformative, as he led successful operations against criminal networks, land grabbers and dacoits, restoring lasting peace to the district.
Such was his impact that upon his transfer, thousands of residents of Charsadda protested, demanding his reinstatement, a rare tribute that reflected his popularity and the trust he had built among the people through accessible and humane policing.
In recognition of his capabilities, he was later appointed SSP Operations, Peshawar, where he launched a vigorous crackdown against the encroachment mafia, leading to the arrest of over 55 individuals under the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO). His leadership brought a marked reduction in street crimes, robberies and thefts, further strengthening law and order in the provincial capital.
SSP Bangash is admired for being a voice for the oppressed, ensuring swift action on public complaints and maintaining a culture of justice and accountability within the police force.
