COTHM celebrates excellence at grand annual convocation 2025 in Islamabad

The College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) held its Annual Convocation 2025 on November 6th at Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) grandly and festively. More than three hundred graduates from various disciplines, including Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, Hospitality. Travel and Tours, and Food Safety and Nutrition, receiv-ed their degrees and certificates at the event.
Outstanding students were honoured with Presidential Awards and High Achievers titles, while first, second, and third position holders were presented with shields / Medals and certifi-cates in recognition of their excellent academic performance.
Addressing the gathering, COTHM CEO Ahmad Shafiq said that the institution is fully committed to raising the stand-ards of hospitality and tourism education in Pakistan to meet global benchmarks. He added that COTHM graduates are making Pakistan proud around the world, and the convocation marks a tribute to their hard work, perseverance, and passion.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Ms. Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. Abdullah Hassan Hussain Obaid; H.E. Ambassador The Republic of Yemen, Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad; Chairperson NAVTCC, Air Marshal Moeed Khan; VC Air University Islamabad, Ms. Ayesha Nawaz; Member Provincial Assembly, Mr. Raja Hanif; Member Provincial Assembly.
All distinguished guests appreciated COTHM’s contributions to skill-based education, emphasizing the institution’s role in equipping youth with practical knowledge and helping them secure a strong position in both local and international markets.
The ceremony concluded with good wishes for the graduating students and a reaffirmation of their commitment to Pakistan’s development and progress.
