Shafiullah assumes charge as Special Assistant to CM on Information

Shafiullah Jan formally assumed office as Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations on Wednesday.
The officers of the Information and Public Relations Department welcomed him on the occasion, a handout said.
In his address, Mr. Jan expressed gratitude to Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi for entrusting him with this responsibility.
He pledged to bring about a visible transformation in the Information Department and project the government’s narrative through a modern and strategic communication approach.
Emphasizing the importance of effective communication, Mr. Jan stated that the stance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the vision of the provincial government would be strongly articulated at every forum. He acknowledged the sacrifices of journalists in KP and announced social support initiatives for their welfare and protection.
The Chief Minister has approved the establishment of a Journalism University named after Arshad Sharif, which will promote academic advancement and research in journalism.
Mr. Jan assured that the Information and Public Relations Department would witness a real and measurable transformation, reflected through performance and results.
