Utilizing Rs502.2m from Health Card Reserve Funds | Released Over Rs9.65 billion in Sehat Card Program during current Fiscal Year: KP Advisor Finance

Advisor to the KP Chief Minister on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, issued an important statement regarding the utilization of Sehat Card reserve funds, stating that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also leads other provinces in the health sector.
During the first four months of the current fiscal year, Rs. 502.2 million from the Sehat Card reserve funds were spent on the public. These remarks were made by Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, in a statement issued from his office yesterday.
Muzzammil Aslam said that treatment for fatal and expensive diseases is carried out through the Sehat Card reserve funds, and from July to October, Rs. 135.3 million were spent on cardiology services from these funds.
The Finance Advisor said that Rs. 31.4 million from the reserve funds were used for cancer treatment, while Rs. 80.6 million were spent on liver transplants.
He further said that from July to October, Rs. 88 million were spent on kidney transplants through the Sehat Card reserve funds, and during these four months, Rs. 165.5 million were spent on cochlear implants.
The Advisor added that Rs. 1.3 million were spent from the Sehat Card reserve funds on ICU, dialysis, and other diseases, while in the previous fiscal year, Rs. 824.4 million from the reserve funds had also been utilized.
Muzzammil Aslam stated that this year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department has already released Rs. 9.65 billion for the Sehat Card, which is separate from the reserve funds.
