Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce and senior PML-N spokesperson, is leading an international delegation of 21 spokespersons from political parties worldwide on a multi-city workshop and seminar tour organized by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC). The program commenced on November 10, 2025.
During a key session guided by IDCPC Vice Minister Sun Haiyan, delegates from South Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and other regions received detailed briefings on the Communist Party of China’s (CPC) governance model, anti-corruption initiatives, innovation-driven policies, and people-centered development strategies.
Vice Minister Sun presented the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), which emphasizes green energy, digital transformation, rural revitalization, and technological self-reliance in AI and semiconductors, aiming for approximately 5% annual GDP growth. The plan builds upon the 14th Five-Year Plan’s achievements in poverty eradication and post-pandemic resilience.
She also highlighted President Xi Jinping’s vision of a global community of shared future, stressing multilateralism, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) cooperation, and collective action on climate change and global stability.
As the delegation’s leader, Afzal Khan underscored the alignment of China’s initiatives with Pakistan’s development priorities under CPEC, particularly in renewable energy and agriculture. “This engagement fosters mutual understanding and strengthens global political dialogue,” he said.
The IDCPC program seeks to enhance party-to-party cooperation and promote shared development among participating countries.
