ISLAMABAD: Federal cabinet has endorsed important decisions of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC). They include reforms in energy sector, approval of framework for settlement of outstanding arrears and transfer of funds for agriculture development projects. It is hoped the decisions will bring economic stability and improvement in energy sector. The cabinet accorded approval to government steps to stabilize system of payments in power sector besides curtailing cost. Government has given approval to abolish home remittances incentive scheme gradually and this scheme will stand abolished in coming years.. The approval for re-allotment of funds for protection of ministry of national food safety and supply of gas to fertilizers plants from Mari Gas Field. ONLINE
