KOHAT: Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court Justice Syed Muhammad Atiq Shah on Monday visited the District Judiciary Kohat to inspect newly established and renovated judicial offices and facilities. During the visit, the Chief Justice appreciated the performance of district judiciary judges for a significant reduction in the pendency of cases over the past year, a handout said. Justice Atiq Shah also reviewed ongoing renovation and upgradation work at various offices, including the Women Facilitation Center, District Bar Room, Conference Room, and the District and Sessions Judge’s Court. District and Sessions Judge Ms. Sofia Waqar Khattak briefed the Chief Justice, stating that pending cases have decreased from 14,000 to 8,000 over the last 15 months.
