PESHAWAR: A devastating in Jarid village o the scenic Kaghan Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, destroyed seven houses and leaving several families homeless. According to police and eyewitnesses on Thursday, the blaze erupted due to unknown reasons and quickly engulfed nearby residential structures. All seven houses were completely burned down, turning into piles of ash before local residents could bring the flames under control. Villagers attempted to extinguish the fire on a self-help basis, but the intense smoke and rapidly spreading flames made the task extremely difficult. As a result, the scale of destruction continued to increase. Locals said the affected families lost all their belongings and savings, with financial losses estimated to be in millions of rupees.
