Acting on the special directives of senior police officials, Shahpur Police Station has intensified its crackdown against criminal elements to curb crime and ensure law and order in the area.
Under the supervision of SHO Shahpur Police Station Fawad Khan, police teams conducted targeted operations against drug dealers, illegal arms holders, those involved in aerial firing and other anti-social activities in various localities.
During the crackdown, police arrested several suspects identified as Sardar, Khadim, Sardar Hussain, Munawar, Abdullah, Asad, Subhan and Abdul Hameed. The operations were carried out in different areas falling within the jurisdiction of Shahpur Police Station, including Service Road towards Khazana, Bela Niko Khan, Muhammad Zai and adjoining localities.
As a result of the operations, police recovered one Kalashnikov, two rifles, six pistols, magazines, several cartridges, 800 grams of ice (crystal meth) and 1,200 grams of hashish from the possession of the accused.
According to police sources, the arrested suspects confessed to their involvement in various criminal activities during the initial investigation. Separate cases have been registered against them under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to continuing strict action against criminal elements to maintain peace and protect the lives and property of citizens.
