Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan paid a rich tribute to Shaheed Bashir Ahmed Bilour on his 13th death anniversary, describing him as a symbol of courage, service, and sacrifice for the Pakhtun nation.
In his message, Aimal Wali Khan said that Shaheed Bashir Ahmed Bilour’s unwavering struggle against terrorism continues to serve as a guiding light for the ANP and the people of the region. He stated that followers of Bacha Khan have never bowed before oppression or terror and have always stood firm for peace and justice.
The ANP president said that the sacrifices rendered by Shaheed Bashir Ahmed Bilour for the establishment of peace on Pakhtun soil will always be remembered in history.
He expressed concern over the prevailing situation in the province, stating that people are currently facing insecurity, injustice, and renewed threats of terrorism.
Aimal Wali Khan strongly criticized both the provincial and federal governments, accusing them of failing to eliminate terrorism and ensure the rule of law.
He said that the blood of Pakhtuns continues to be shed while terrorists and their facilitators roam freely, adding that the rulers are preoccupied with personal interests and political conflicts instead of prioritizing public safety.
Reaffirming the party’s stance, Aimal Wali Khan said that the Awami National Party will continue its struggle for peace, democracy, and human dignity. He emphasized that, guided by Bacha Khan’s philosophy of non-violence, the ANP will raise its voice against terrorism at every forum.
