November 26 protest case

Appeal has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench against indictment of Aleema Khan in November 26 protest case. The appeal has been filed by Aleema Khan through her counsel Faisal Malik advocate. A division bench comprising Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and justice Sultan Mehmood took the plea for hearing Tuesday.
Registrar office raised objection the attested copy of FIR is not attached with the petition.
The court directed counsel for Aleema Khan to complete the documents first.
It was prayed in the petition that Aleema Khan was indicted in her absence which is not correct legally. The court should direct trial court the process of indictment be completed again as per law. The petitioner be heard as per legal requirements.
The court directed defence counsel to remove the objections of registrar office remarking the petition will be fixed for hearing after the removal of the objections.
