Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Syed Fakhar Jehan has paid rich tribute to the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his birth anniversary.
In his message, he said that the historic day of 25th December reminds the nation of the great struggle which, under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, led to the establishment of an independent and sovereign state for the Muslims of the subcontinent.
The provincial minister said that indeed, the value of freedom is best understood by nations that are still deprived of it today.He stated that the birth anniversary of the Quaid reminds us of our responsibilities to carry forward that great struggle and to work for the emergence of Pakistan as a dignified, strong and influential state on the world map.
He added that today’s rulers, public representatives and institutions bear a heavy responsibility to meet the expectations of the nation by upholding honesty, integrity and the rule of law and by sincerely performing their respective duties for the progress and development of the country.“We must pledge to strive for the realization of the Quaid’s dream of a truly free Pakistan,” he said, “a Pakistan founded on justice, merit, transparency and public service.”
The provincial minister further said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, under the vision of its founding chairman Imran Khan, is committed to continuing the struggle for genuine freedom, self-respect, and supremacy of the Constitution and the law.He prayed that Almighty Allah protects Pakistan and grants the nation the ability to act upon the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
