Commissioner Malakand reaffirmed zero-tolerance policy against corruption

Commissioner Malakand Masood Ahmed on Tuesday reaffirmed the divisional administration’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, saying that public institutions were meant to serve citizens and facilitate them in an efficient and transparent manner.
Speaking to our correspondent at his office saidu sharif, the commissioner said he regularly conducted surprise visits to service delivery centres and the offices of deputy and assistant commissioners to monitor departmental performance and ensure timely redress of public grievances.
He said the objective of these visits was to improve governance standards and restore public confidence in government institutions.
“No compromise will be made on transparency and accountability,” he said, adding that any negligence, inefficiency or corrupt practice would be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
Commissioner said his office remained accessible to the public and encouraged citizens to approach him with their complaints and concerns related to official matters.
