Over 30000 educational institutions of Punjab have been linked to Safe City System. Representatives of schools, colleges and university will update security status on safety app 3 times in a day.
Security of government and private educational institutions will be checked on one click. Virtual centre for educational security has been made functional.
Under the project registration of 30000 educational institutions and 130000 teachers and security staff will be registered under the project. Installing public safety app will be compulsory for the staff of educational institutions. As per authorities representatives of educational institutions will update status on security related app of the institution 3 times in a day. Alert will be issued in the event of threat or security. The process of linking cameras of educational institutions to safe city system for direct monitoring is underway. The work on installation of pink buttons of safe city in educational institutions has entered into final phase.
