Heavy rains, snowfall recorded across KP

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced widespread rain and snowfall over the past 24 hours, with Parachinar recording the highest rainfall at 110 mm, followed by Malam Jabba with 76 mm and Kakul with 73 mm, according to Provincial Disaster Management Authority(PDMA). Other areas, including Cherat, Upper Dir, Kalam, Peshawar, Saidu Sharif, Mohmand Dam, Chitral, Timergara, Balakot, Drosh, Risalpur, Landi Kotal, Takht Bhai, Warsak Dam, Mirkhani, Kohat, D.I. Khan, Bannu, and Khaar Bajaur, also received significant rainfall. According to PDMA, snowfall was equally intense, with Malam Jabba recording 38 inches, Kalam 30 inches, Chitral 16 inches, and Drosh and Parachinar each receiving 15 inches.
