IMF hails Pakistan’s economic improvement efforts

International Monetary Fund (IMF) has acknowledged Pakistan government’s efforts towards economic improvement.
During a media interaction at the World Economic Forum in Davos, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is pushing forward difficult but necessary reforms for the country’s betterment.
She said Pakistan has seriously embraced reforms and these are starting to bear fruit. She noted that resources are being made available for the betterment of the people as a result of strict budgetary discipline.
According to observers, the IMF’s endorsement confirms that Pakistan is on the right economic path.
In addition to the IMF, other global financial institutions have also acknowledged Pakistan’s successful economic policies.
