Over 1,500 people, 350 vehicles safely evacuated from Tirah valley

More than 1,500 people and 350 vehicles have so far been rescued and shifted to safer locations by Rescue 1122 during ongoing rescue operation in remote Tirah Valley of Khyber District.
According to Rescue 1122, more than 1,500 people and 350 vehicles have so far been rescued and shifted to safer locations. During the operation, over 100 individuals have also been provided with medical assistance while more than 120 officers and personnel from Rescue 1122 units in Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera and Swabi are working in the rescue operation.

The rescue teams are continuously engaged in operations to assist travelers stranded due to heavy snowfall in Tirah Valley.

The relief operation has been ongoing for more than 36 hours despite severe cold weather, freezing temperatures and difficult terrain.
