PESHAWAR
Former Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali and Mayor of Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali on Thursday inaugurated a new branch of the Khyber Eye Foundation on Warsak Road, Peshawar.
Khyber Eye Foundation is a well-known welfare organisation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that provides free eye treatment to poor, needy and deserving patients, including those eligible for Zakat.
The foundation has been operating its main facility at Ijaz Abad, Gulbahar No. 04, Peshawar, where it has been serving a large number of patients from across the province.
The foundation has witnessed a growing influx of patients, reflecting public trust in its services.
The Board of Directors has played a vital role in strengthening and expanding the institution. In view of the increasing number of patients, the board unanimously decided to establish a new branch to better serve the community.
Under the leadership of Chairman Muhammad Taimoor Shah, and with the dedicated efforts of the board members and Administrator Ubaidullah Siddiqui, the new branch was successfully established at Abshar Colony, Warsak Road, Peshawar.
The board also decided that, like the main branch, the new facility will provide free eye treatment to poor and deserving patients, along with the free provision of spectacles for near vision.
The inauguration ceremony began with the ribbon-cutting followed by recitation from the Holy Quran.
Chairman Muhammad Taimoor Shah welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the foundation’s mission and services.
Former KP minister and former Chairman Khyber Eye Foundation Muhammad Adnan Jalil, Director Finance Khalid Sultan Khawaja, and Director Audit and Legal Affairs Khawaja Yawar Nasir also shared their views on the occasion.
Mayor of Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali and former Governor Haji Ghulam Ali, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the welfare services of the foundation and expressed hope that the new branch would further benefit the public.
Director Administration Faiz Muhammad concluded the ceremony by thanking the guests, board members, and participants.
