Message of chairman PEC on Kashmir Solidarity Day

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council, Engr. Waseem Nazir, on behalf of the Pakistan Engineering Council and the entire engineering community of Pakistan, reaffirmed firm and unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He stated that for decades, the Kashmiri people have endured systematic oppression, denial of their fundamental rights, and serious human rights violations. Their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination, as guaranteed under the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, remains unresolved despite the passage of time.
Highlighting the role of engineers as nation-builders and custodians of sustainable development, the Chairman PEC emphasized that peace, progress, and prosperity cannot coexist with injustice and suppression. He reiterated that the engineering community of Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their peaceful struggle for dignity, freedom, and justice.
On this solemn day, he strongly appealed to the international community, the United Nations, and global human rights organizations to move beyond statements and take meaningful and practical steps to end the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that the world must ensure the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions and hold the perpetrators of injustice accountable.
The Chairman further reaffirmed that the Pakistan Engineering Council and the engineering fraternity of the country will continue to raise their voice at all forums in support of Kashmir and remain committed to all lawful and peaceful efforts for a just, lasting, and honorable resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
He concluded by expressing hope that the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will soon be rewarded with freedom, peace, and prosperity.
