Defeat Khyber 3-1 in thrilling final, DG sports distributes prizes

District Mohmand clinched the volleyball trophy in the Merged Districts Under-16 Games 2026 after defeating District Khyber 3-1 in a thrilling final. Director General Sports, Tashfeen Haider, distributed prizes among the players at the closing ceremony.
He was accompanied by Director Sports Merged Districts Umar Arshad Khan, Deputy Director Sports Zakirullah, Chief Coach Shafqatullah, Deputy Director Ameer Zahid Shah, Assistant Director Muhammad Ayub, Deputy Director Rahid Gul, AD Muhammad Imran, DSO Mohmand Faisal Javed, DSO Muhammad Hussain Orakzai, Awan Hussain, and other officials.
The Under-16 Games, organized by the Directorate of Sports Merged Districts in Peshawar, have entered their final stage. In the volleyball final played yesterday, Mohmand outclassed Khyber 3-1 to lift the trophy.
In cricket matches played at Hayatabad Cricket Ground, Bajaur defeated SD Peshawar by 132 runs. Orakzai registered a convincing 10-wicket victory over SD Lakki in a thrilling encounter, while SD Bannu beat Kurram by 10 wickets. District Khyber also secured a 10-wicket win over SD Dera Ismail Khan in another exciting match.
In basketball matches held at Peshawar Sports Complex, Kurram defeated Bajaur 62-39. SD Kohat overcame South Waziristan (U) 34-17. North Waziristan beat SD Peshawar 24-10, while SD Tank defeated SD Bannu 21-4.
